The Tiwi t-shirts are a collaboration with the Tiwi Designs Art Centre. As a result of our 2017 project , in which we provided camera equipment and workshops ran by acclaimed aboriginal photographer Wayne Quilliam.

The objective of the project is to showcase the strength and beauty of Aboriginal culture on the Tiwi Islands, Australia. These t-shirts are inspired by traditional Tiwi masks, designed especially for Sinchi Foundation into an embroidered logo.

* Masks are powerful artefacts that are worn as part of ceremonial costume, often worn in religious and social events to represent the spirits of ancestors or to narrate the good and evil forces within the environment.
